Did you know that January is one of the top months for hiring?
It’s a great time for businesses to hire new positions, regroup and understand business needs. It offers an opportunity to also find those individuals looking for a career change in the new year.
As a result of this, you may find yourself managing not just one, but multiple new hires at the same time. Whether they are new positions or replacements, managing multiple people at once that aren’t sure what their tasks are can make managers busier than ever. How do you effectively manage them?
Here are 3 tips:
- Maintain open communication. Allow them to ask questions when needed, and ensure you can provide feedback when needed. Open communication is going to make for an easier process on everyone.
- Take advantage of technology and consider using an e-learning course. This would require a lot of effort at the beginning but would be beneficial when leading multiple people at once. It would give you more time flexibility during the training process.
- Set clear expectations and make sure they’re aware of their responsibilities during training, while also understanding your duties outside of their training.
There are many challenges that can arise when you’re juggling managing multiple new hires along with your typical job requirements. They key is to keep up your own productivity while effectively leading and training. If it becomes too much, consider having someone else in the office train the new hires.
It’s all about becoming a unified team. Find the process that allows you to best do that. Tre Boston Authentic Jersey
